Introduction to Hand Embroidery

2 hours

Hand embroidery is enjoying a revival.The craft has a long and interesting history and has brought many hours of creative pleasure to women for generations. This class introduces students to traditional stitches using DMC Floss. You'll learn how to transfer an image, and a handful of stitches that will have you whipping up fun items in no time. You'll also learn about all the tools of the trade. It's a great way to relax and it's an easy,affordable and portable craft..........a perfect fit!

My English Garden

2 - 3hr classes

Have you tried wool applique? It's fun and there is no needle turn here! Work on this project, learning to use felted wool, stitchery and beading!

EQ6 & EQ7 - Introduction - 3 hrs

Have you been thinking of getting the EQ6 or EQ7 (Electric Quilt/6 or 7) program for your computer, but are worried about what to do once you have it? This class will get you up and running and designing your own quilts in a jiffy! Be careful it's addictive!

Fine Raw Edge Machine Applique

3 hour Class

Want to machine applique but don't know where to start? This class will teach you how to machine applique with confidence. Bring your favorite applique & get started.

Machine Quilting for the Beginner

4 hour class

You have your top done, now what? This class will get the beginner started on machine quilting on your home machine. Learn how to clean your machine, use a walking foot and a free motion foot.

Micro Machine Quilting

4 hour class - Intermediate

Are you comfortable with free motion meandering and ready to learn more? In this class you'll learn McTavishing as well as a variety of other background stitches to create depth and interest to your quilts.

Landscapes - Using Your Own Photo

2 - 6 Hr Classes

Render your favourite photo into a landscape quilt! Use a variety of tools, from pastels to fabrics, sharpies to inkcan create a one of a kind landscape.

Shaving Cream and Ink Class

6 hour or 3 hour classes

Looking for something different and fun to do?

This class you will make this seasonal wall hanging. It looks like applique, but it's not!

Press and Seal Applique

3 hour class

How many times have your traced your applique onto fusible, cut it out and found that you forgot to reverse the image! This class will teach you a fun and easy way to make fusible applique with out reversing any!
